Each Sunday we gather at 9 am in our beautiful sanctuary for a vibrant, traditional worship service featuring hymns, anthems, liturgy, scripture and a sermon. We have a deep appreciation for our communities gifts of singing, musicianship, or otherwise and incorporate them often in our worship.
Holy Communion is celebrated every first Sunday and we invite all to celebrate with us.
What to Expect
Please enter our worship space, the Sanctuary, from either Chestnut Tree Drive or Summit Drive entrances. From there, you are invited to introduce yourself to someone in the gathering area or simply grab an Order of Worship from a Greeter. Feel free to sit anywhere you feel comfortable, and prepare your heart for worship.
During the service you are welcome to participate as little or as much as you like. We will sing about 3-5 songs, pray together, hear scripture and a sermon.
Afterwards, please feel welcome to introduce yourself to the Pastor or others.
We hope to celebrate every aspect of life, whether it’s a baptism, wedding, or funeral. Please contact the church office and we will make arrangements with you.
We baptize people of all ages, from newborns to adults. Why newborns? Because we are touched by God’s grace long before we may even respond to God. To schedule a Baptism, please contact the church office.
Backpack Buddies is one of the way’s Cape St. Claire UMC partners with local schools to help families with some of their grocery needs. We collect food each Sunday for this program and gather often to pack and distribute to the local schools.
Winter Relief is a volunteer-driven shelter for homeless guests which runs from October through April. About 50 local churches provide shelter between these months for more than 60 people each week. There are so many ways to serve, please contact the church to find out when and how.
My Brother’s Pantry provides a one-time emergency food supply to anybody who asks, and monthly supplies to residents of the Broadneck Peninsula who meet income guidelines or are eligible for government assistance. We pack more food for larger households, use donated food when possible, and buy groceries when necessary. Clients are notified when distributions are scheduled, usually the third weekend of the month.
